About me

Presentation

Prof. Ivanka Iordanova holds a degree in architecture and a Ph.D. in planning at Université de Montréal. After an academic period as a teacher and researcher, Dr. Iordanova spent over 7 years in the industry as Director of Innovation and Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) at Pomerleau (general contractor recognized for its leadership in innovation). Today, teaching and research by prof. Iordanova focuses on technological levers for the realization of quality buildings and infrastructures, starting with BIM/VDC and Lean Construction. With the objective of increasing construction productivity, while aiming for a sustainable, high-quality built environment, she studies the potential of construction industrialization, including the automation of certain processes, off-site construction and robotic fabrication.
