About sustainability and the circular economy
Research presentation
Sustainable development in the built environment is GRIDD’s raison d’être. Since 2005, the year the research group was founded, sustainable development has been at the heart of its research activities, with a particular focus on the integrated design process, energy modeling and building lifecycle analysis.
For nearly 20 years, GRIDD has been examining the social, environmental and economic issues associated with sustainable development, and developing practices, methods and tools to help industry undertake
and support its ecological transition. More recently, GRIDD researchers have been looking at circular economy issues in construction and innovative approaches to accelerate the decarbonization of the built environment.
