Presentation

Francis Bordeleau (Ph.D. Electrical Engineering, Carleton University) is a professor in the Department of Software Engineering and Information Technology at ETS, where he holds the Kaloom-TELUS ETS Industrial Research Chair in DevOps. His core expertise includes software/systems engineering, model-based engineering, software processes, DevOps and digital twins. He has over 25 years’ experience in research, work, consulting and collaboration with companies worldwide in the fields of software engineering, software process improvement and model-based engineering (IBM). Prior to joining ETS, he was Technical Lead for Software Development Product Management at Ericsson (2013-2017), Founder and CEO of Zeligsoft (2003-2013), and Adjunct Professor at Carleton University (1997-2006). Francis has served on the organizing and program committees of numerous international conferences and workshops.

His current research focuses on DevOps and digital twins. With regard to digital twins, his goal is to develop a comprehensive framework (including processes, methods and tools) to support the systematic engineering, evolution and continuous improvement of digital twins for different application domains, including built assets and smart buildings.
